Ten Things I Miss From Childhood

This post is adapted from a childhood meme I recently came across and which seemed fitting for this blog. So without further ado, here are ten things I miss from childhood, in no particular order:

(1) being small
(2) the smell of Play-Doh
(3) opening a new box of crayons and just staring at them
(4) sharing treats at recess
(5) looking at the world through innocent eyes
(6) waking up on a Sunday morning and realizing that you don't have to go to school
(7) playing with my brother until we were exhausted and then rushing to the table for the delicious dinner that mum prepared
(8) receiving those cut-out valentines (you know, the tiny ones with the perforations)
(9) waiting for our Scholastic book orders to arrive at school (very much like waiting for those lovely brown packages from Amazon to arrive in the mail nowadays)
(10) Friday after school!

This list could literally go on and on. I'll have to do a part two sometime. What about you? What do you miss? List as many or as little as you'd like in the comments section.

  1. I miss how frosted flakes taste in front of the tv while watching "Superfriends".
They just don't taste the same now, have you noticed?

  2. Oh that's a great one Mimi. :) They don't taste the same — so much more flavorful back then! They taste more processed now.
