Childhood in Darfur

Saturday, April 12 is the Global Day for Darfur.

Stating that "Childhood is under attack in Darfur", fourteen children's author's have written an open letter to the world demanding international action on behalf of the children of that embattled land. The authors (including J.K. Rowling, Judy Blume, R.L. Stine and Mike Berenstain) ask the world to:

"demand an immediate ceasefire, full deployment of the U.N. peacekeeping force, action against anyone blocking deployment and support for a just peace process."
